BJP president Nitin Gadkari asked the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, to answer why Prime Minister could not control the prices.
Addressing a press conference in the Capital, the BJP president said that the price rise regulation does not exist in the country.
"Inflation rate is 13 per cent. Prices are rising. Various decisions taken by the Centre on the issue are wrong and hence inflation will rise even further," he said.
"I am surprised that such a noted economist like Prime Minister Manmohan Singh sees the poor condition of oil companies not of the poor people," he added
