Explain the concept of Fopping? What ignited the idea to begin your journey in the tough entrepreneurial world?
Fopping is a unique ecommerce company. The idea behind Fopping is that, we want to build a bridge between Social Networks and Ecommerce. These two are the hottest right now in India, so we created a Social/Friends Shopping Website Fopping.
Coming from a professional background having worked with stable companies like Credit Suisse and Citadel Securities in New York City, the initial months of my entrepreneurial journey are like a Roller Coaster ride. The urge to create something new and challenging is what made me take this entrepreneurial path. I can say I am enjoying the thrills and frills associated with this.
How difficult or easy has the execution of your idea been? What kind of rise have you been able to achieve since starting?
Bringing all stakeholders together is toughest challenge for any new idea and is the same with Fopping Social Shopping idea. Once we agreed on what we want, we executed it very quickly. Our promoters consist of entrepreneurs from both Ecommerce as well as Retail field, so it made it easier for us in terms of funding and partnerships.
What are some of your biggest challenges as an entrepreneur, and how do you plan to overcome them?
Biggest challenge for any entrepreneur is scaling up. This means either you need to raise a lot of money or you need have lot of money to scale up. In regards to Fopping, let’s just say that we are in stealth mode.

Ecommerce meets Social Networking. This is the USP of Fopping. The social elements of Shopping are what we are excited about.
What is your vision for Fopping.com? Where do you envisage yourself 5 years down the line?
Become best Social Shopping Ecommerce Company. 5 years is too long. We want to achieve this in only 2 years.
As an entrepreneur, what is your advice to the budding pack of entrepreneurs across India?
If someone has an idea and have capital, just go for it. Capital is very important so I would advise to have this addressed first otherwise it will be little difficult but not impossible
What are some of the mistakes you made which you would like to warn others of
Any idea or business takes its sometime to show positive results. Patience is the key because an organization to support an idea cannot be built in night.
